Executive Director and agency owner Susan Brown has over twenty years of professional experience working with children and families in domestic and international adoptions. Her career began with a passionate commitment to children in the custody of social services, primarily serving special needs children, sibling groups and minority children. More recently, Susan worked for ten years with an agency specializing in international adoption. She has completed home studies for families adopting from China, Ukraine, Guatemala, Ethiopia, Vietnam as well as the United States. Additionally Susan has a wealth of experience working as a child and family therapist in community mental health and in private practice.  Susan graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Masters in Social Work (MSW) degree in 1990.

As an adoptee herself, Susan has personally experienced the very special and everlasting bond that adoption creates between the child and adoptive parents. For this reason, Susan has dedicated Triangle Adoption Services to the memory of her adoptive mother, Barbara, whose unconditional love and support inspired her to pursue the joy of helping to build forever families through adoption.  Susan lives in Chapel Hill, North Carolina with her young daughter, husband and two dogs.
